Prof. Aviva Berkovich - Ohana is a neuroscientist, and a senior lecturer affiliated at the University of Haifa, faculty of Education and Edmond J. Safra Brain Research Center (personal site:http://avivabo.edu.haifa.ac.il).

Major research interests are the effects of contemplative training and experiences (including various meditation practices and psychedelics) on consciousness and specifically self-reference, as well as the possible applications to the fields of psychotherapy and education. To these ends, research often employs neuro-phenomenology, collaborating with long-term practitioners.
